Veterans Day events in Chico, Paradise, Oroville

Several local events are happening honoring on Veterans Day those who served in the United States Armed Forces.


Veterans Day Celebration: All ages. Features a live band, guest speaker, 21-gun Salute, “Taps”, hot dogs, beans, refreshments and a flag retirement ceremony by Boy Scouts Troop 423. Thursday, Nov. 11. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the program starts at 11 a.m. Food is served from noon to 1:30 p.m. Chico Elks Lodge — 1705 Manzanita Ave., Chico.

Meet, Mingle and Mend: All ages. Features a no-host bar, light supper, artspace, and guided meditation with veteran Lilith Meredeth. Friday, Nov. 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (The day after Veterans day.) Museum of Northern California Art — 900 The Esplanade, Chico.


Veterans Day Parade: All ages. Includes a parade featuring floats made by the community. Thursday, Nov 11 at 11 a.m. Montgomery Street, Oroville.


Veterans Day Celebration: All ages. Features patriotic music by members of the Paradise Symphony Orchestra and the Mount Ridge Singers, speeches by Mayor Steve Crowder and Supervisor Doug Teeter, and hot dog lunches. Thursday, Nov. 11. 2021 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veterans Memorial Hall — 6550 Skyway, Paradise.
