Roadrunners claim 90-71 win over Consumes River College

The Butte College men’s basketball team beat Consumes River College on Wednesday night 90-71.

The Roadrunners were led by Daniel Montoya’s 20 points while Isaac Wood pitched in 16 points. Rolonte Knowles also had 16 points for Butte and a team-high seven rebounds.

Also reaching double figures were Shakwon Lewis with 12 and Derrek Gordon with 10. Lewis also led Butte in assists with eight. Butte is now 3-2 on the year and will host Sierra on Friday night at 6 PM

Men’s college soccer

The Butte College men’s soccer team learned on Wednesday that it had made the Northern California Junior College regionals.

The Roadrunners (14-3-2) earned the fifth seed and will play host to Lake Tahoe (10-7-3) on November 20.

Butte is unbeaten against Lake Tahoe, beating them 4-0 on October 5 and again at Butte 2-1 on October 29.

If the Roadrunners are able to beat Lake Tahoe for the third time they will play the winner of De Anza and Evergreen Valley on November 23 or 24th.

If Butte plays No. 4 De Anza (12‐2‐5) it will be on the road, however, the Roadrunners beat De Anza 2-1 on September 7 at Butte.

Butte could host Evergreen Valley (12‐4‐3) if the Hawks upset De Anza. Butte beat the Hawks on September 14, 4-3.
