Letter: Wishful thinking about ‘The Party’

I wish I had the ability to see through the same prism into reality as the followers of The Party.

I wish I didn’t see Biden as a senile party hack. It would be nice to see the Afghanistan debacle as a diplomatic success, not a cowardly betrayal of American citizens, including an unbelievable donation of shiny new military rearmament to the Taliban.

I wish I could believe we’re enticing the Third World to come across our southern border as a humanitarian gesture instead of as plan to fill the country with Democrat votes.

I wish I could believe the mainstream media, but they openly admit they’re progressive propagandists.

I wish I could trust this administration to at least like us, and that the vice president and cabinet were more than just sacrifices to the affirmative action gods.

I wish I could trust the Fauci maneuverings as well-intentioned toward our well-being, if only Fauci would be honest about his connections to the Wuhan lab.

I wish I could believe in the global drive to combat climate change, but someone needs to convince me that the cure won’t be more destructive than the malady, especially since climate constantly changes naturally anyhow.

I wish The Party would stop turning America into a third world country. If they don’t, they’d better start organizing their social workers to protect them when the “insurrectionists” have finally had enough.

But, as someone might have said, if wishes were horses, this administration would have us eating them.
