Gas prices rise in the last month

Gas prices continue to rise in Butte County as Thanksgiving gets closer.

Price reports from, a fuel information website, show that the cheapest gas station in Butte County is priced at $3.99 per gallon, while the most expensive station is priced at $5.09 per gallon.

The Berry Creek Rancheria gas station at Gold Country Casino and the Feather Falls Mini Mart were noted to have the cheapest gas in Butte County at $3.99 per gallon according to numbers from from Monday. The price for regular gas at the Berry Creek Rancheria was $3.89 on Tuesday.

As the gas prices rise, said that an Annual Thanksgiving Travel Survey showed only 32% of Americans plan to travel for Thanksgiving this year. This is compared to 35% in 2020 and 65% in 2019.

The survey also showed that 75% of Americans said that COVID-19 has had no impact on their Thanksgiving plans this year, up from 46% in 2020.
