Chico, CA – Saturday, January 19, 2019. Gateway Science Museum is presenting their wild side with When Pigs Fly, an interactive party celebrating science in the sky.

Join Gateway Science Museum for a night of food, drink and airborne activities. This event is highlighting Gateway’s unique approach to science literacy and demonstrates the special partnerships with local science and nature groups in an effort to surprise and delight. Gaze into deep space with the Chico Community Observatory’s telescope. Listen to the sounds of live NorCal bats. Taste the delicious local fare prepared by our very own campus chefs. Feel the power of tension, torsion and gravity as you compete in catapult launching! Be ready to experience other sensory surprises throughout the night from our friends at the Chico Air Museum and Chikoko. With local celebrity experts available to answer questions about astronomy, airplanes, and avian animals throughout the evening. When Pigs Fly will leave a lasting impression whether you are a first-time visitor or a seasoned Gateway member.

Early bird tickets are available for $40 until January 1st and are $50 after January 1st, includes food, drink and interactive science activities. *Must be 21 & over*
